In my YouTube talk today with Jay Krish, we focused a lot on ownership. Is there an owner of the body? Is there an owner of thoughts? Or are they just a Universal movment? This reminds me of a story that Mooji told during one of his Satsangs.
A man approached Mooji, a great smile beaming across his face. He told Mooji that he finally Understood. "There is no me here to own anything. There is just this Universe moving as One. There's no me who owns the body. There's no me who owns my thoughts. There's no me who owns my actions."
Mooji was very happy to hear this revelation and realization.
The man then added, "So, since nobody owns anything and ownership is an illusion, I took this mango from a stand in the market without paying for it!"
Mooji, in his ultimate wisdom, eyed the man carefully and said, "You will have no problems with this view, as long as you are okay with the illusory policeman showing up to find the illusory you to put you in the illusory jail".
When we Realize the illusory nature of ownership, this does not release us from responsibility. We act much as we always have, but without the added burden of the seriousness that comes with autonomy. We realize that Life takes care of Life, and we play the role that we've been cast within.
To be free is to be freed from the suffering idea of separateness, allowing us to move with the Peace and Grace of the Unitive Universal flow...
