Random Musings 9-20-21

One of the main problems that confused me for a long time on my Spiritual journey was not understanding the nature of Reality. The mind was the only thing that I knew and all my efforts were directed at trying to force a conceptual understanding of something that was beyond conceptuality.

Shunryu Suzuki said, "this is a twofold Reality".

I heard this statement, and something just clicked within me.

I Realized that this concept of "Awareness" that I was seeking was not a concept at all. The mind could not know It, because any attempt by the mind to find It, was already Seen by the Awareness. Awareness was not to be found within the dualistic experiencing. The experiencing was happening WITHIN the Awareness, and that Awareness was not part of the experience.

All of my seeking had been conceptual. The idea of me as an individual was a concept seeking the concept of Awareness.

At this important junction on my journey, I stopped Seeking with the mind. I knew mind could not find what I was searching for...

Osho said that Spiritual Awakening was just "deep relaxation into What Is" so I just started to concentrate on relaxing into whatever was experienced. This doesn't mean relaxing as in "not doing anything" but relaxing the mind out of defining, and relaxing the mind out of seeking other than What Is.

Now, that I was Seeing this twofold Reality, the experiencing, and the Awareness of the experiencing- the idea of Seeking was just another concept to be discarded.

Truth is actual very simple.

Truth is Being with What Is, as the Awareness of What Is.

When mind tries to "figure things out", just turn away and relax into What Is beyond mind. Truth is always guiding You. In fact, You are the Truth that guides, and this idea of the individual Seeker is just a dream happening within the experiencing...

You are the Awareness of everything that comes and goes.
